Ans. Maths basic is for those students who do not want to opt maths in class 11and 12. It is nothing but is easier than standard.

Ans. Maths standard is for those students who want to opt maths subject in class 11and 12 and also for further studies.

Syllabus for Basic or Standard maths

As such , there is no change in maths syllabus whether you do basic or standard. You need to do NCERT questions but keep in mind, you need to practice some extra questions by following extra book or sample papers.

Q. Is there any option to opt both basic as well as standard?

Ans. No, there is no any option to opt both. Students can opt only one basic or standard because both exams will be held on the same day. So, you have to choose between maths basic and maths standard.

Q. What if I fail in the exams?

Ans. There is an option to give compartment exams.

So, you can give maths basic if you fail in maths standard.

Q. Is there any change in internal assessment of  

    20 marks?

Ans. Maths exam is of total 100 marks, out of which 20 marks are internal assessment.

Internal assessment are the same for both MATHS BASIC and MATHS STANDARD.

Q. Is there any change in class 9 exam?

Ans. No, there is no change in class 9 exam. The class 9 exam will be same for all the students.

MY OPINION - HOW YOU CHOOSE BASIC OR STANDARD?

Ans. Firstly- try solving both sample question papers basic and standard. If you get more than 70 marks in basic then you can do maths standard very easily. But, if you get very poor result in standard then you choose maths basic.

But always remember  — don’t forget, you need to do NCERT questions, examples and sample papers of class 10 whether you take basic or standard.

 choose maths basic, if you want to —

1. Take arts in class 11and 12.

2. Take commerce in class 11and 12.

3. Take humanity in class 11 and 12.

4. Take medical without mathematics (additional) in class 11 and 12.

Choose maths standard, if you want to —

1. Take commerce with maths in class 11and 12.

2. Take non-medical in class 11and 12.

3. Take medical with maths (additional) in class 11and 12.
